Coastal Colors
New Exhibition

May 2, 2026 - August 30, 2026

This season, a new exhibition at Madrone Arts in Pescadero invites you to experience the shifting light, layered textures, and atmospheric beauty of the California coastline. In collaboration with artists from the South Coast Artist Alliance, the exhibit entitled “Coastal Colors” draws its inspiration from one of the country’s most iconic natural landscapes.  From the dramatic cliffs and misty bluffs of Pescadero, Half Moon Bay, and Santa Cruz, artists will explore how color defines this special stretch of beaches - capturing the emotional spectrum of the coastline.

Through the generous support of the San Mateo County Arts Commission, “Coastal Colors” will open to the public on May 2nd and will run through August 30th, 2026.  The show will showcase a wide variety of artworks - mixed media, painting, photography, and sculpture.

Qué Será, Será
Now Open

January 17, 2026 - April 26, 2026

“What will be, will be” might be a phrase that parent’s use to calm a restless child, that friends use in confronting uncertainty, an utterance from a Buddhist teacher as a balm to a questing mind, a surrender to an unfolding future …. or the name of Madrone Arts upcoming fine arts exhibit beginning on January 17th. 2026!!

In celebration of our endurance and belief in the power of art as a healing and transformative medium, we collectively chose the title of this show – and we think you’ll be delighted to view the diversity of our art and our community.

As Madrone Arts celebrates our two-year experiment, we reflect personally and collectively on the rewards and challenges of gallery co-ownership.  Our love of art, care for one another and dedication to our community has been the fuel that has kept our fire burning.  Maybe, too, we have taken on a kind of blind faith that “que será, será” embraces; we have allowed for all the possibilities with open hearts.
