Doreen Maller

Fall submission is a series of hummingbird shadowboxes. They are informed by my fiber art background, but are presented as assemblage. Each consists of an embroidered photo on canvas, found and dried organic items and precious fabrics from the artist’s collection. Part ephemera; fragile, yet stable, they evoke my inter-relativity with the natural world, a place of honor and grace.
